The second-longest serving captain in Motown history after Steve Yzerman, Alex Delvecchio spent 24 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, which included winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships. Playing a total of 1550 games in the National Hockey League and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977, offered here is this stick used by Delvecchio during the final "Original Six" season of 1966-67 that has also been signed by approximately seventeen (17) members of that year's Red Wings squad. A Northland Custom Pro model example with "Delvecchio" stamped over the shaft and his number "10" penned to the upper shaft in faded red marker, additional stamps for both "Northland Skis" and "Olympic Sporting Goods Co." are found over either side of the upper shaft as well. Retaining its original tape job of black around the handle/knob and over the blade, the striping accent sticker is found to be in a mostly intact state around the bottom of the shaft. Exhibiting good game-use via numerous dark marks throughout, heaviest over the lower shaft, heel and untaped sections of the blade, other various marks and abrasions are found throughout as well including small chips in the shaft and top edge of the blade. Of note, there is wear to the bottom of the blade at the heel and cracks extending in towards the middle from the toe. For the autographs, those that have signed include names such as; Andy Bathgate, Gordie Howe, Alex Delvecchio, Paul Henderson, Norm Ullman, Ray Cullen, Howie Young, Dean Prentice, Doug Roberts, Bob Falkenberg, Leo Boivin, Gary Bergman, Bert Marshall and approximately four (4) others. All having been signed in red marker, most of the signatures display well and remain legible with just light fading while others cannot be made out due to how faded they are.
