Enjoying a complete lifetime in hockey, Max McNab would do it all during his career, everything from winning a Stanley Cup as a player in the National Hockey League to serving as Vice President of Hockey Operations with the New Jersey Devils. Also having served as a long-time coach in the old Western Hockey League as well as General Manager of the NHL's Washington Capitals and New Jersey Devils along with Team Canada at the 1982 IIHF World Championships, offered here is this collection of memorabilia from McNab's personal collection revolving around his time in the National Hockey League. Paced by examples of vintage programs from teams such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Black Hawks and New York Rangers, the Leafs examples include a line-up-less offering from a 1947-48 game that has its cover attached by tape and another one from January 11th, 1964 between the Leafs and Bruins, the Black Hawks program is from a 1948-49 game between Chicago and the Detroit Red Wings that has a penned notation on the front while the Rangers program dates to Game 3 of the 1962 Stanley Cup Semi-FInals between the Leafs and Rangers at Madison Square Garden and shows tears to the covers at the edges and spine plus liquid staining. Also including a quartet of Christmas cards sent to McNab by the White House for the years 1981, 1982, 1989 and 1991 from the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush that display White House artwork over their fronts and remain in excellent condition while showing mostly just light toning, the rest of the collection includes various team photos from clubs such as the Chicago Black Hawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Rockies, Hartford Whalers and Kansas City Blues with most being vintage examples. Alos including a Hartford Whalers logo pin and game puck, also present is a vintage 1962 Molson Breweries postcard of Jacques Plante that features a facsimile signature on the reverse and a copy of a press photo signed by Bobby Hull. With everything in overall good condition and showing varying degrees of wear throughout, the lot will be accompanied by a McNab Family LOA.
