Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/1/2024
The world's oldest and most successful professional hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens played the majority of their existence at the famous Montreal Forum, from 1926 to 1996. The final game for the Canadiens before relocating from the Forum took place on March 11, 1996 vs the Dallas Stars (won by Montreal 4-1). In March of 1996, the new Molson Centre (now the Bell Centre) opened it's doors, with the Canadiens first match taking place on March 16, 1996 vs the New York Rangers (won by the Habs 4-2). We offer final game at the Forum and first game at the Molson Centre ticket stubs. Both tickets list the price along with seating, with the Forum ticket sporting an image of Frank Mahovlich, while the Molson Centre ticket shows a beautiful image of the new venue. Both stubs show just very minimal wear, and remain in gorgeous overall condition.
