Born in the Finnish capital city of Helsinki and developing in the junior system of Jokerit, where he dominated, Jori Lehtera would play for both Jokerit and Tappara in the Finnish Elite League before suiting up with both Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia. Drafted 65th overall at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues, Lehtera would play a total of 307 National Hockey League games in his North American career with St. Louis and Philadelphia before heading back overseas to Russia and Finland. Having suited up for his homeland on numerous occasions, offered here is this Team Finland jersey worn by Lehtera at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, where Finland would capture the bronze medal. Made by Nike, a "swoosh" logo and a size "62" designation are screened to the inner collar along with a matching "Made in Canada" notation and an "IIHF Authentic Collection" label that has been sewn in. Sporting a 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics logo patch over the reverse hem and modelled after Finland's flag, with the blue cross gracing a white background over the front, a Finland coat of arms patch has been heat-pressed over the left breast while the ghostly outline of the country's lion is seen over the left shoulder. Displaying "Suomi" via heat-pressed letters inside the stripes of both sleeves, the aforementioned sleeves and verso and verso have had Lehtera's number "21" sewn to them in either single layer or dual layer tackle twill numerals while "Lehtera" is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters that have been heat-pressed across the affixed matching nameplate on the upper reverse. Featuring a Nike Team Sports barcode and fight strap on the interior, the jersey exhibits excellent game-wear throughout including stick marks over the front, reverse, both sleeves and left shoulder, un-repaired small cuts/holes over both sleeves, light board burns over both sleeves and finally, a blue coloured board paint transfer over the left sleeve. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Images #469387745 and #469365787 (February 14th, 2014 vs Norway) to the stick marks over the left shoulder and the dark stick mark on left forearm. Of note, there is a light amount of blue coloured bleed throughout the piece as is commonly seen on these Nike Swift model international jerseys.
