Drafted 2nd overall behind Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel would be awarded the Hobey Baker Award as the top college hockey player in the NCAA for the 2014-15 season, registering 71 points in only 40 games played with the Boston University Terriers. Playing the first six (6) years of his National Hockey League career with the Buffalo Sabres before being traded to the Vegas Golden Knights, Eichel and the rest of his Vegas teammates would hoist Lord Stanley's Cup at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season with Jack registering 26 points in 22 games played in the postseason. One of the best players in the game today, offered here is this pair of gloves worn by Jack as a member of the Buffalo Sabres during the 2019-20 season, Buffalo's 50th anniversary campaign, as well as a stick used by him during the 2016-17 campaign. Starting with the gloves, Bauer Supreme 2S Pro model gauntlets in Buffalo's navy and yellow colours, "Eichel" is embroidered into the outside of each wrist while "Bauer" is embroidered into the cuff of each as well. Measuring 14" in length and originally purchased right from the Sabres year end equipment sale, the original price tag is affixed to the cuff of the left glove and the numbers "10" and "12" have been penned inside the wrists in black marker ink. Showing just light game-use, rubbing is seen over both palms that is heaviest on the left one while a small numbers of marks, abrasions and frays are spread throughout the backside of both hands plus the fingers on each glove as well. For the stick, a Bauer Supreme 1S model twig with "Eichel" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of yellow cloth over ribbed white around the handle/knob while the original Sabres team store price sticker is affixed to the forehand side of the upper shaft as well. Also sporting white tape around the blade, there is reason to believe that at one point it was retaped by Jack and then not used by him afterwards based on how clean it is on both sides. Still displaying a factory production sticker on the underside of the shaft that indicates a production date during the 50th week of 2016, the stick is tacky to the touch and shows light game-use via a few small marks and abrasions over the lower shaft and heel areas.
