Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Considered by many to be the greatest hurler of the Dead-ball era, Walter Johnson played for the Washington Senators for 21 seasons, and he remains the only pitcher in Major League history to record more than 400 wins and strike out more than 3,500 batters. This lot offers a signed cut from the HOF legend graded MINT 9 by PSA/DNA. A gorgeous dark ink signature worthy of the assigned grade and executed on a piece of 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" off-white paper, this example will satisfy even the most discerning autograph collector. Johnson passed away at the youthful age of just 59 in 1946.
