The final time the North America vs World All-Star format was used, the 2002 NHL All-Star Game took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb 2, 2002, with the World team beating the North Americans, 8-5. Taking his place in the starting lineup at left wing for Team World during the contest, then the tenth (10th) of his storied career, offered here is this photo-matched and signed jersey worn by Jaromir Jagr during the photo-shoot of the 2002 NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Made by CCM a "Made in Canada" label with an affixed size "58" fly tags has been sewn inside the collar while a CCM logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline. Sporting the embroidered logos of both the NHL shield and NHLPA over the reverse neckline, the front of the jersey is decorated with a large NHL league crest that features embroidered details while the all-important 2002 NHL All-Star Game event patch has been placed over the right breast. Accented over the shoulders with the crest of the Washington Capitals (right) and the flag of the Czech Republic (left), the front hem and verso have been styled with Jagr's familiar number "68" in dual layer white-over-grey tackle twill numerals while "Jagr" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Of note, some pink coloured bleed is seen in the white layer of the letters and numbers on the reverse due to the colour of the material as well as on the fight strap that is present in the interior. Having had a 2002 NHL All-Star Game event patch sewn over the fight strap as well as an inventory tag reading "AAB033", the jersey shows no flaws whatsoever and is in beautiful condition still. Having been signed by Jagr in the middle of the "6" on the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays well despite some very minor fading from age, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #1420313 (February 1st, 2002 - NHL All-Star Photo-Shoot) to the loose thread at the bottom of the event patch on the right breast, the loose threads in the "H" of "NHL" in the team crest and to the slight stitching imperfection in the blue area of the Czech flag patch plus the frayed stitching of it at the top left corner. A Frameworth COA will accompany the piece.
