The first goaltender to have 30 or more wins in a regular season for five different teams, Curtis Joseph retired with a career win total of 454 to go along with 51 shutouts and a career goals against average of 2.79. Playing a pair of seasons in the red and white colours of Detroit and resisting a total of 50 wins in 92 games, offered here is this stick used by Joseph during his time with the club. A Bauer Supreme 4000 Pro model stick that dates to either the 2002-03 or 2003-04 seasons of play, "Cujo" is found stamped over the upper shaft. Retaining its original white tape job over the handle/knob and blade, the foam tape applied to the area where the stick would rest in Joseph's hand remains in place as well albeit with some tattering from use. Exhibiting good game-wear throughout the entirety of the stick through puck marks over both sides of the blade tape and paddle, some small dents/paint loss is observed the the top edge of the paddle while tears are present in the blade tape on the forehand side as well as the bottom edge. Also sporting numerous red post paint transfer marks over the reverse side of the upper shaft, it is also worth noting that a small crack/chip is found on the bottom edge of the reverse side of the upper shaft as well.
