A product of both the St. Catharines Blackhawks and Niagara Falls Flyers in the OMJHL and drafted 160th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 1978, Bob Froese would go on to play in 242 NHL games overall during the course of his eight (8) year career with both the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers. Hailing from a year in which he posted a record of 28-13-7 in 48 games played, offered here is this Philadelphia Flyers jersey donned by Froese during the 1983-84 campaign that has also been video-matched! A heavyweight mesh construction garment made by CCM, the jersey is void of any tagging remaining affixed to the inner collar but measures out to roughly a size "54". Having had a CCM logo patch sewn on over the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a familiar Flyers team crest that has been administered in a layered tackle twill style. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Froese's number "35" in dual layer tackle twill numerals, "Froese" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching mesh nameplate that is in place over the upper reverse. Void of a fight strap on the interior of the piece, the jersey, now heavily yellowed in the white areas except for the nameplate, shows game-wear in the form of pilling around the collar, a puck mark over the lower front, a board burn like mark on the inside of the left sleeve, a few other marks are observed on the interior over the sleeves and front hem but don't display on the outside. Regarding the video-match, the jersey has been matched with a screenshot showing Froese during Philadelphia's game against the Chicago Black Hawks on December 8th, 1983 that is matched to the placement of the nameplate on the reverse as well as the downward angle of the top portion of the first "E".
