A veteran of 820 National Hockey League games throughout the course of his 18-year career in the league, Sean Burke would register a total of 324 wins in the NHL and suit up for Canada on numerous occasions as well, winning gold at the 1991 Canada Cup, 1997 and 2003 IIHF World Championships as well as silver at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games. Winning his first Stanley Cup in 2023 as the Director of Goaltending of the Vegas Golden Knights, offered here is this stick used by Burke while playing with the Coyotes during the 2002-03 season. Made by Koho, the 500 series model twig in a black, white and blue colour way has had "S. Burke" stamped over the upper shaft alongside a date stamp that reads "02 NOV 2002". Retaining its original tape job of white over the handle/knob, paddle/hand grip and blade, the stick shows good game-use with puck marks seen throughout the shaft, paddle and blade as well as dents/chips and stripped black paint over the forehand side of the paddle, tears to the bottom of the blade tape and numerous red coloured post paint transfer marks over the reverse side of the upper shaft and handle tape plus the forehand side top edge of the paddle. Signed by Burke over the tape on the forehand side of the blade with a black marker signature that displays without issue, the stick is also acccompanied by a pro-stock Coyotes jersey of Burke's. Displaying both "Goalie Style" and size "58" labels affixed to the inner collar with the NHL shield embroidered into the reverse he, the pro on-ice style offering that is exactly like the jerseys Sean would have worn in game is decorated over the front with an attractive Coyotes team crest that features embroidered details while the sleeve and verso have been accented with his name and number is layered tackle twill letters and numbers. Sporting pro on-ice elements such as a fight strap and reinforced elbows but lacking any team tagging on the interior, Burke has signed over the left collarbone with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue while the jersey itself is in matching condition.
