Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
The first German-born player to win the Art Ross Trophy as the leading point scorer in the NHL, the Hart Memorial Trophy as regular season MVP, and the Ted Lindsay Award for most outstanding player, Leon Draisaitl is not one to shy away from pulling off moves that put him in highlight reels all over the league, with many coming his way due to the fact that he serves as the right-hand man to the Oilers other superstar, Connor McDavid. Offered here, we present this copy of Leon's coveted "Ice Premiers" rookie card from Upper Deck's 2014-15 Ice release. Found in its original raw ungraded form, an action image of a young Draisaitl is found over the front of the clear see through offering, which is serial numbered "79/99" near the bottom. With the stat line on the reverse of the card displaying Draisaitl's 2013-14 WHL stats in which he posted 105 points in 64 games played with the Prince Albert Raiders, the card presents in a stunning condition with only the lightest wear touches observed to the corners on both the front and reverse. In short, a splendid acquisition this beauty will be.
