Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024

Leading the NHL in points in six seasons throughout his HOF career, Mario Lemieux made his presence instantly known as a rookie, scoring 100 points in 73 games in 1984-85. A two-time Stanley Cup champion as a player who faced adversity like no other during his storied NHL career and the only player able to be compared to the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Lemieux would represent Canada on numerous occasions and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. One of the greatest players of all-time due to his combination of size, strength, athleticism, and creativity, offered here, we present this "Treasured Trophies" autographed card of Lemieux that was released as part of Panini's 2013-14 National Treasures Hockey product. Featuring an image of Lemieux at the right side of the card that was taken during the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals against the Chicago Blackhawks, over the left side appears a picture of the Art Ross Trophy, an award "Super Mario" won six (6) times during his career. Signed by Lemieux over the bottom with a beautiful blue ink on-card autograph that displays without issue, a serial number reading "18/25" is present in silver foil over the lower left side. Speaking of how many trophies Lemieux won during his career in the write-up on the reverse, the card, found in its original ungraded form, remains in an excellent condition state and shows just the lightest wear touches to the corners and edges when observed with the naked eye.
