Manning the hot corner of the diamond in a career that saw him suit up for both the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians between 1990 and 2002, Travis Fryman would be named to a quintet of Major League Baseball All-Star Games during that time and win a Silver Slugger Award in 1992. Also awarded a Gold Glove Award in 2000, offered here is this collection of signed and game-used/worn items of Fryman's that hail from his time with the Tigers in the 1990s and includes a jersey, batting helmet and bat. Starting with the jersey, a double knit button up offering made by Russell Athletic, the classic Detroit home jersey is decorated over the front left with an old English "D" in navy tackle twill while a Russell Athletic/Diamond Collection jock tag is sewn over the lower front left side. A size "44" garment that also sports additional labels reading "100% Polyester" and "94-24-2-16" underneath the jock tag, navy piping accents appear around the collar and down both sides of the placket on the front. Styled over the reverse with "Fryman" across the upper back in navy twill letters that have been placed in a gentle arch and sewn directly to the material of the jersey, Travis' number "24" appears in matching style numbers underneath. Displaying good game-use through soiling plus pilling on the reverse, sweat staining appears around the collar and in the underarms as well. Additionally, Fryman has signed the reverse with a blue marker ink signature that displays without issue. For the batting helmet, a navy blue coloured offering made by ABC (American Baseball Cap) that has Detroit's logo in white over the front, a warning label and a size "7 1/4" sticker appear over the interior, which still sports all the padding over the interior reverse and around the edge. Having had Fryman's number "24" added to the reverse in white number stickers, the piece shows good game-use with numerous scuffs, scratches and abrasions throughout its entirety. Also having been signed by Fryman, he has penned a silver marker signature over the crown on the front that displays well despite some small amounts of wear and scratching. Lastly, also included is a bat used by Fryman during his time with the Tigers. A 34" Louisville Slugger C271 model stick with "Genuine C271", Fryman' signature and "Detroit Tigers" branded into the barrel as well as the Louisville Slugger logo, Fryman's number "24" appears over the knob and inside the barrel cup, having been penned in black marker. Uncracked and signed by Travis with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue, the bat shows use through a handful of bat rack and ball marks.
