A career .245 hitter with 998 career hits, 59 HR and 436 RBI, offered here is this Toronto Blue Jays jersey worn by Cerone during the 1979 MLB season. A polyester double-knit pullover style uniform in baby blue that is made by Rawlings, a brand label displaying a size "40" designation is sewn on inside the front tail along with a fly tag reading "Set 1 1979" and a strap tag that displays "9 40 79" notations that have been chain-stitched in for the player number, size and year. Decorated over the front with "Blue Jays" in dual layer white-over-blue twill letters that have been laid out in a gentle arch across the chest and sewn directly to the material of the shirt, a large Blue Jays team logo crest that shows embroidered details throughout has been sewn on underneath. Accented around the sleeve cuffs and collar with knitted cuffs in a blue-white-blue pattern, the reverse features Cerone's number "9" in a style matching the letters that spell out "Blue Jays" on the front. Exhibiting excellent game-wear throughout its entirety light staining and soiling is found in spots throughout the front, reverse and both sleeves along with heavy-to-moderate sun fading throughout and pilling at the right side of the collar plus underneath the number on the reverse from rubbing against the straps of Cerone's chest protector. A rare and seldomly seen example from the early years of the Blue Jays franchise, don't miss out on this one!
