Perhaps the greatest player the game of hockey and the National Hockey League has ever seen, Mario Lemieux needs no introduction and during the 1980s and 1990s was the only one capable of holding a candle with the likes of Wayne Gretzky and his greatness. Having registered a total of 1.883 points per game throughout his illustrious career, "Super Mario" would lead Pittsburgh to consecutive Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992 and also win the Art Ross Trophy six (6) times. Also awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy on three (3) occasions and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997, offered here is this collection of six (6) Mario Lemieux jerseys for you to consider, each showcasing a different team from throughout his career. Including examples for the Laval Voisins (QMJHL - 1981-84), Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL - 1992-97), Team Canada (1987 Canada Cup - x2 - Red and White ) and Hockey Canada (2002 Winter Olympic Games - x2 - Red and White). A mix of replica (Laval Voisins and Team Canada 1987 Canada Cup white) and pro on-ice style (Pittsburgh, 1987 Canada Cup red and both 2002 Winter Olympic Games) offerings that are made by a mix of companies including CCM, Nike and SP Apparel, all the jerseys are tagged as being size "48", "XL", "56" or "50". All decorated with tackle twill team logos and numbers while also featuring brand labeling affixed to the inner collars, each jersey has had Lemieux's number "66" sewn over the sleeves and/or verso with "Lemieux" spelt out in tackle twill letters across the affixed matching nameplates at the tops of the reverses. Additionally, the Penguins and 2002 Winter Olympic examples have both also had NHL/IIHF logos added to the reverse hems via either embroidery or a patch. With the pro on-ice style garments including elements such as a fight strap and reinforced elbows on the interiors, each jersey appears in good condition with the Laval one still sporting its original retail tags affixed to the left cuff though it is worth mentioning that all except the Team Canada 1987 Canada Cup red example do show light spot stains and/or marks that would likely be removed with a bit of a stain treatment and wash. A wonderful group of jerseys mimicking the styles worn through Lemieux's career for you to all to your all-important collection!
