Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
A three-time Stanley Cup champion, Matt Cullen played 21 seasons in the NHL for eight different clubs while also winning a bronze medal at the 2004 World Championships with the United States. From his first of two seasons in Tennessee, we have a signed and photo-matched Nashville Predators jersey worn by Cullen in 2013-14. Sporting a single size “56” tag affixed to the inner collar below a piano keys design, “Nashville” is sublimated into the material over the back of the collar and the crests for the NHL and Reebok decorate the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled on the front with a Predators team crest that sports embroidered details, an alternate logo patch resides over the right shoulder. Styled with number “7” sewn to the sleeves and verso in sublimated three colour twill numerals, "Cullen" is spelt out in sublimated dual layer navy-over-gold letters across the affixed nameplate at the top of the reverse. Showing a few stick and puck marks over the front, there is also some red goal post paint transfer to the left sleeve along with two team repairs. Getty Image #482448177 (March 21, 2014) has been matched to a few of the marks over the lower front, with the two small spots of red paint transfer on the upper left sleeve to the right of the number also visible. Cullen has signed the reverse number in silver paint pen. A COA from the Preds will accompany.
