Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Developing in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sudbury Wolves, Mike Fisher would be selected 44th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 1999 National Hockey League Entry Draft and would play a total of 1104 games in his NHL career, split between Ottawa and the Nashville Predators while making appearances in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2007 and 2017. Owning a pair of silver medals from the 2005 and 2009 IIHF World Championships while representing his birth country of Canada, offered here is this Predators jersey worn by Fisher during both the 2017-18 regular season as well as the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs in what would be his final NHL season. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "56" designations is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of the NHL and Adidas have been added over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the garment with a Predators team crest that features embroidered details throughout its entirety, a Preds alternate logo patch that displays sublimated details has been added over the right shoulder. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Fisher's familiar number "12" in three (3) colour sublimated twill numerals, "Fisher" is spelt out in sublimated dual layer navy-over-white letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Having had "Nashville" sublimated into the material of the collar behind the neck, the jersey exhibits good game-wear via numerous teams repairs and board burns over both sleeves as well as stick marks over the lower front. Also showing light pilling and loose threads on the interior of the jersey, a MeiGray tag numbered "P03364" is sewn inside the reverse hem with the company's population report listing it as a "Gold Set 3 / Playoffs" specimen that is accompanied by a matching LOA. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #951167558 (April 20th, 2018 vs Colorado - WCQF Game 5) to the board burns and team repairs over the left elbow.
