Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Jordan Staal was an incredibly talented penalty killer who was selected 2nd overall at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. The Thunder Bay native remains the youngest player in NHL history to score a hat trick. Offered here is a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey that Staal wore for ten regular season games in 2011-2012. The size tag indicates a size "58" on the inner collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines, respectively. Affixed to the left breast is an alternate captain's "A". The team patch, beneath the Dana Heinz signed fight strap, on the inside reads, "2011-2012 Game Jersey Set 1 PP#121399". Three game marks are on both of the lower sleeves, and an unrepaired board burn is on the lower left sleeve. A document from JerseyTRAK will accompany that list's use in the games mentioned, along with a COA from the Penguins and Gleason Technology LOA.
