Currently playing in the 19th season of his National Hockey League career, Sidney Crosby, a veteran of over 1200 NHL games, has filled his trophy case with numerous awards including a trio of Stanley Cup championships, a pair of Olympic gold medals, two (2) Art Ross Trophies, two (2) Hart Trophies, and two (2) Conn Smythe Trophies along with many others. A surefire first ballot Hockey Hall of Fame inductee once he concludes his storied career, offered here is this Penguins jersey issued to "Sid the Kid" as back up for the 2011-12 season. Made big Reebok, a lone size "56" size tag is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of both the NHL and Reebok have been placed over the front and reverse hem respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a familiar Penguins team crest that features embroidered details throughout its entirety, the distinguished captain's "C" has been sewn on over the left breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Crosby's number "87" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Crosby" has been spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Marked on the underside of the fight strap with "Back Up" in black marker ink by Pens equipment manager, Dana Heinze, the jersey, having never actually been worn in game, remains in beautiful condition with no flaws to make mention of. Having had a Penguins team tag sewn inside the reverse hem that denotes the jersey as an official "2011-2012 Set #1 Game Jersey", the pieces comes accompanied by a Penguins team LOA as well an additional one from Gleason Technology.
