Just the third goaltender in NHL history to reach 500 wins after Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur, Marc-Andre Fleury debuted for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003-04 and spent over a dozen seasons in Pennsylvania as a member of the Penguins, winning a trio of Stanley Cup championships with the organization that drafted him 1st overall at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. A Vezina Trophy and William M. Jennings Trophy winner in 2021 as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights, Fleury has also represented his home country of Canada on numerous occasions, including at the 2003 and 2004 IIHF World Junior Championships where he helped Canada to back-to-back silver medals and at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver as the third goalie on Canada's gold medal winning squad. A surefire future Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, offered here is this pair of pads worn by Marc-Andre as a member of the Penguins for a portion of the 2009-10 season. Reebok made Revoke PZ model pillows in an all white colourway with "Reebok Revoke PZ" embroidered into the face of each pad and a Reebok logo screened on over the outer roll, "Reebok" has also been added over the outside of both pads in individually sewn on letters. Having had "Fleury" embroidered into the outside of each boot channel in black thread, the pads display excellent game-use through countless puck marks throughout each piece as well as additional wear via sweat staining and soiling, rubbing and red paint plus dye transfers on the outside bottom portions of each leg channel and other nylon areas while fraying is observed around the bottom edges and around the edges of the knee blocks. With all the straps and buckles present and accounted for, all are intact and still fully functional, including the skate lace toe ties at the front of each boot on the bottom. Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, the pads are matched with Getty Image #97583986 (March 7th, 2010 vs Boston) to numerous puck marks seen over the face of each pad. A true treasure from one of the best to ever tend the goal in the National Hockey League, a Penguins COA will accompany the lot though it needs to be noted for accuracy that it incorrectly lists the pads as being from the 2010-11 season and not 2009-10 as we have photo-matched them to.
