Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Looking like the steal of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Kirill Kaprizov was selected 135th overall by the Minnesota Wild that year and finally came across the pond to join them for the 2020-21 season. Having won a gold medal at the 2018 Olympic Games and a Gagarin Cup in 2019, “Kirill the Thrill” would put up 51 points in 55 games during his rookie campaign to capture the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s best rookie. Up for grabs here, is this copy of Kaprizov’s 2020-21 Upper Deck "Clear Guns" Young Guns rookie card. Having earned PSA’s esteemed top of the scale grade of GEM MT 10, a perfect card by their definition and housed comfortably in a PSA holder that shows only light wear via a couple of small scratches and scuffs over both sides that are worth mentioning for accuracy, the card shows key pack fresh attributes including sharp corners, smooth edges, clean surfaces, perfect centering and beautiful colours that make this a truly desirable example. One of the hottest and highly touted young snipers currently in the National Hockey League and possessing a stock that is sure to rise in subsequent years, don’t miss out on this one for your all-important rookie card collection.
