Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Just the third full-time general manager in the history of the Toronto Maple Leafs, George "Punch" Imlach named himself head coach in 1958-59. The senior blue and white players well respected him despite his often tough, even harsh coaching style. Imlach would claim four Stanley Cup championships from behind the Leafs bench. Imlach is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and passed away in 1987. Named the greatest player in Toronto Maple Leafs franchise history as part of the club's centennial celebrations in 2016, Dave Keon spent fifteen glorious seasons with the blue and white, earning selection to eight All-Star Games while winning four Stanley Cup championships. Keon is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Don Simmons played his first five seasons in the NHL with the Bruins before playing three years each with the Leafs, where he won three Stanley Cups, and then finished his NHL career with the Rangers. Simmons passed away in 2010. The 1963-64 Parkhurst Punch Imlach, Dave Keon and Don Simmons cards are sold as signed cards only and the cards were authenticated by JSA/Beckett for the signatures only.
