Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Playing his first NHL games in 1956-57, rookie of the year Frank Mahovlich concluded his lengthy HOF career in the WHA, playing two seasons with the Toronto Toros (1974-76), followed by a pair of seasons with the Birmingham Bulls (1976-78). The 15-time NHL All-Star was ranked number 26 on The Hockey News' list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players. This 1957-58 Parkhurst rookie card of the Big M has been signed and graded "Authentic Auto" by PSA/DNA (autograph graded only - not the card itself). The card displays beautifully with light corner wear, with the blue ink signature in Franks's distinctive style appearing flawless. Enshrined in the HOF in 1981, Mahovlich is currently 86 at the time of this writing. *** We should also note a few small scratches and marks to the PSA/DNA holder.
