The first and oldest high school in the New York borough of Brooklyn, the Boy's and Girl's High School is located in Bedford–Stuyvesant and was built in 1886. This lot includes a pair of cabinet photos of the boy's hockey teams from 1904-05 and 1905-06. Both approx 13" x 17" including the mounts, a number of the same players are pictured in each, with the 1904-05 photo showing period equipment including a Spalding puck and Shamrock model Spalding hockey stick (we have sold a few of these in the past), along with a Starr Skates "Mic-Mac" stick. The photos show just light wear with no major issues, with each having broken-off sections of the mounts. The information for each is also handwritten on the reverse in pencil.
