Going by his nicknames of either "The Bronx Bull" or "Raging Bull" for his technique of constant stalking, brawling and inside fighting, Jake Lamotta would compile a professional record of 83-19-4 in 106 fights throughout his professional career, with his six-fight rivalry with Sugar Ray Robinson one of the most notable in the sport's history. Fighting professionally between 1941 and 1954 and inducted as part of the inaugural class of 1990 into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, offered here is this framed display that features a replica WBC World Boxing Council championship belt that has been signed by Lamotta. Measuring approximately 50" in length and framed to full dimensions of roughly 55" x 15", the belt, a green leather construction offering with plates over the front that display the images of boxers such as Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, the front plate, made of zinc, displays the WBC logo and "World Champion" designation as well as the flags of the world repeating around the outside edge and extending in towards the interior. Housed in a simple black coloured shadow box frame the shows some light wear to the edges and corners, the belt also shows light wear throughout that is worth noting for accuracy and has been signed my Lamotta over the left side with a gold marker ink signature that displays without issue. Having also added annotations reading "TMT", "TBE" and "50-0" in matching gold ink that displays in the same flawless condition, a JSA Auction LOA will accompany the piece.
