Playing 460 of his 550 games in the National Hockey League in the famed bleu, blanc et rouge of the Montreal Canadiens, Howie Morenz helped the "Flying Frenchmen" to a trio of Stanley Cup championships during his time with the club and won three (3) Hart Memorial Trophy's as the NHL's Most Valuable Player. Having had his numbered retired by the Habs upon his death in 1937, the first time the team had bestowed the honour upon a player. This card is graded a EX-NM 6 by the graders at SGC.
Perhaps the greatest Maple Leaf of the era he played in, Francis "King" Clancy played six of his 16 National Hockey League seasons in the blue and white of the Toronto Maple Leafs, standing on top of the hockey world in 1931-32 when the Leafs hoisted the Stanley Cup at seasons end. The rugged and tough defenseman would enjoy a healthy career in hockey even after his playing days were behind him. He was a large part of the Maple Leafs organization until he died in 1986. This card is graded a EX-NM 6 by the graders at SGC.
Regarded as one of the original "Flying Frenchmen", Newsy Lalonde is regarded as one of hockey's and lacrosse's greatest players of the first half of the 20th century and one of the Canadian sport's most colourful characters. A Stanley Cup champion with the Montreal Canadiens in 1916 and the National Hockey League's scoring champion in 1918–19 and 1920–21. This card is graded a NM+ 7.5 by the graders at SGC.
The NHL's all-time leading scorer upon his retirement in 1929, Cyril Joseph "Cy" Denneny, enjoyed a dozen seasons with the famous Ottawa Senators, raising Lord Stanley's hardware four times during his tenure in the nation's capital. The Farran's Point native would spend a final season with the Stanley Cup-champion Boston Bruins in 1928-29, serving as playing-coach. This card is graded a NM-MT 8 by the graders at SGC.
Art Ross would be regarded by his peers as one of the era's best defenders. He won two Stanley Cups during his 13-year playing career and another pair during his long tenure as the bench boss of the Boston Bruins. This card is graded a NM 7 by the graders at SGC.
Also included in this collection is one 1979-80 OPC and one Topps SGC-graded #185 of Bobby Hull, a two-time Stanley Cup champion. The O-Pee-Chee is graded a NM 7, and the Topps card is graded a NM-MT 8.
