Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
Later known as "Mr. Goalie", Glenn Hall appears here on his important rookie card, issued during his first of ten seasons with Chicago. Curiously, Hall had won the Calder Memorial Trophy and led the league in shutouts as a rookie with Detroit and then led in wins the following season but was traded to Chicago with Ted Lindsay in the summer of '57. Graded EX+ 5.5 by SGC.
Longtime Boston Bruin great Johnny Bucyk, after an early-career trade from Detroit to Boston, Bucyk kept going and going, to the tune of 556 career goals; his leadership qualities and fine play helped the Bruins to the club's first Stanley Cup championship in 29 years in 1969-70. "Chief" potted 31 regular season goals and added 11 playoff markers as Boston "went all the way". The offered Bucyk RC is graded Authentic Evidence of Trimming by SGC.
