Intriguing looks at NHL uniforms of the day, (Canadiens, Maroons, Toronto St. Pats, Hamilton Tigers), along with that of the Stanley Cup are offered by cards found making up the 1924-25 Champ's Cigarettes C144 set that was issued by Hamilton, Ontario’s Tobacco Products Corporation of Canada Limited. Originally issued one-card per pack of smokes, offered here is this intriguing little specimen from the set, that of the card picturing Lord Stanley's famous Cup over the front, seen in the design that was used between 1912 and 1931. With the write-up on the back of the card speaking to the Cup's origin and how the first winners of it were the famed Montreal AAA plus that the current holders were the Montreal Canadiens, the card was issued as a replacement for the cards of Charles Stewart, Johnny Matz, Charlie Cotch and Edwin Gorman, who's photos were not available to the company that the time the cards went to press. For the example seen here, the card has been graded by SGC to the tune of a VG-EX+ 4.5 designation and displays with good colour over the front with an image that is off-center a bit from left-to-right. With the surfaces also appearing clean and light wear to the edges and corners, the holder remains in good condition with light wear including a couple of scratches and scuffs
