Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
An Honoured Member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame, goaltender William "Legs" Fraser played junior hockey for the Winnipeg Maple Leafs before playing for Winnipeg CNR and the Weyburn Beavers. Seeing action with the Ottawa Senators of the QSHL for seven seasons, the Sens were Allan Cup champions in 1949. Commemorating Ottawa's 1949 Allan Cup championship, we offer Fraser's Canadian Amateur Hockey Association 1949 Allan Cup champions medal as well as his CCM Allan Cup skate charm. Tom Gorman's Senators won the QSHL title three years in a row from 1947-49. "Ottawa Senators Hockey Club 1949 William Fraser" is engraved on the reverse of the 1 1/2" x 1" C.A.H.A. medal with "Trophy Craft Gold Filled" stamped at the bottom. Also included is a CCM "1948-49 Allan Cup Winners" skate charm which measures a touch under 1-inch long. Both pieces display wonderfully with just light wear present.
