Suiting up in a total of 606 National Hockey League games throughout the duration of his playing career, it is the time he spent behind the bench in the NHL that Pat Quinn is best remembered for, totalling 1400 games and leading teams to a total of fifteen (15) playoff appearances, including two (2) trips to the Stanley Cup Finals, happening in 1980 with Philadelphia and 1994 with Vancouver. Offered here, we present this vintage circa-1980 Philadelphia Flyers warm-up jacket that is attributed to the man known as "The Big Irishman". A bright orange offering made by W. A. Goodman & Sons that has had a brand label that displays a size "XL" designation affixed to the inner collar, what appears to be a handwritten notation also appears over the label but is too faint to be made out. Featuring a zip-up closure that remains fully functional, orange, white and black knitted elements are found over both of the cuffs as well as the collar while a Flyers team logo patch has been added over the left breast in layered tackle twill. A light-weight specimen that resembles the baseball dugout jackets of the era, the jacket remains in excellent condition with just a small number of light spot stains observed throughout the sleeves and body with no rips to the pockets to speak of. Accquired by our consignor from a former employee of the Philadelphia Spectrum who stated that he got it out of Quinn's former office after the season ended, Quinn as well as other members of the Flyers team staff can be seen wearing this style of jacket on the 1979-80 Flyers team photo.
