Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
A tempting example of one of the most coveted hockey rookie cards of all, that of Floral, Saskatchewan native Gordon Howe, is featured in this lot up on the block that presents a copy of Mr. Hockey’s 1951-52 Parkhurst card that has been deemed worthy of PSA's PR 1 designation. Sure to be a most cost friendly example for those looking to add one to their portfolio, the card, released when Howe was in his sixth (6th) National Hockey League season in which he would lead the league in both goals and points, shows the larger than life man now known affectionately as "Mr. Hockey" in a small scale form. Housed in a PSA holder for both display and preservation, the card shows numerous heavy creases, soft/worn/rounded corners, edge wear, paper loss, and marks/residue over both the front and reverse. With the PSA holder remaining in good condition overall with scratches over both sides that are worth mentioning for accuracy, don't miss out on this one for your all-important vintage portfolio.
