Renowned for his blueline prowess which included delivering crushing body checks to the opposition, Larry Robinson would help lead the Habs defensive core for almost two decades, with a pair of James Norris Trophies won as the NHL’s premier defenseman. A six-time Stanley Cup champion as a player, with four (4) more coming after his playing career, Robinson would be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995 and have his number "19" retired by the Canadiens on November 19, 2007. Offered here, we present this stick used by Robinson during his days with Les Canadiens in the mid-to-late-1970s. A Victoriaville made twig with "L Robinson" stamped over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of white over the shaved down handle/knob and black wrapped around the blade. Displaying with heavy game-use throughout its entirety, dark marks are seen throughout the length of the shaft, which also shows a small chip to the right of the "N" in "Robinson" while spots of red post paint transfer are present over the backside of the lower shaft and heel as well. For the blade tape, showing wear over the bottom and tears on both sides, it is worth making mention that other various marks and abrasions are present throughout as well and the accent sticker is no longer present over the lower shaft.
