Widely considered as one of the top three players throughout the history of the fabled Montreal Canadiens along with Rocket Richard and Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur enjoyed tremendous success during his Habs tenure, capturing five Stanley Cup championships, three Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Memorials and the Conn Smythe. Entering the National Hockey League during the 1971-72 season after leading the Quebec Remparts to a Memorial Cup championship the year before, offered here, we present this stick used by "Le Démon Blond" circa the 1973-74 season in which he posted his third straight 20+ goal season. A Victoriaville made example with "10" and "G Lafleur" stamped over the upper shaft, a red, white and blue coloured accent sticker is observed over the upper shaft as well. Retaining its original white tape job around both the shaved down handle/knob that has been done in a way that matches what is seen on Lafleur's 1974-75 O-Pee-Chee hockey card, the blade has been broken in the middle and retaped many moons ago with now vintage black that matched what Lafleur would have used for the purpose of putting the stick back together. Having had a hole drilled through the blade, likely for the purpose of mounting, the stick shows game-use through a handful of dark marks over the lower shaft, heel and blade areas as well as some marks and abrasions throughout the length of the shaft as well.
