Trailing only Gordie Howe for the most all-time points at the time of his retirement in 1981, Phil Esposito secured over 700 goals throughout his HOF career, with selection to the NHL First All-Star Team six times. A veteran of 1282 games played in his National Hockey League career who won a pair of Stanley Cup championships, a pair of Hart Memorial Trophies and five (5) Art Ross Trophies, Esposito would be the first NHL player to eclipse the 100 point plateau and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984. The one time record holder for most goals in a single NHL season with seventy-six (76), offered here is this stick issued to Esposito as a member of the New York Rangers in the late-1970s. A Northland made twig that has had "Esposito" stamped to the upper shaft, his registered pattern number of "0955-2" has been stamped over both sides of the shaft as well above a three strip foil accent sticker that is in place at the bottom of the shaft. Never having had any tape wrapped around the handle/knob or blade and remaining in overall good condition with a few marks and abrasions throughout from handling and age, Esposito has signed over the upper portion of the shaft on the forehand side with a red marker ink signature that displays well despite some fading from age.
