One of the most memorable tournaments in international hockey history, the 1987 Canada Cup saw Canada, led by superstars Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, defeat an equally powerful Soviet squad, one of the best they ever assembled, two games to one in the tightly contested best of three final with the legendary pairing hooking up to score the tournament winning goal with 1:26 left in 3rd period to give Canada the tournament. Known as one of the most memorable goals in Canadian hockey history, offered here is this Team Canada 1987 Canada Cup team-signed pennant signed by 33 members of Canada's roster and staff. Measuring 30" in length and displaying "Team Canada '87" over the front in big red letters and numbers, the tournament logo as well as the logos of the other competing nations are found over the front as well, heavily contained over the wider left side of the piece. Remaining in overall excellent condition with a small crease near the tip, the piece has been signed in blue ballpoint pen by the likes of Gretzky and Lemieux as well as; Paul Coffey, Ray Bourque, Glenn Anderson, Dale Hawerchuk, Mike Gartner, Larry Murphy, Ron Hextall, Brian Propp, Kevin Dineen, James Patrick, Michel Goulet, coaches Jean Perron and Tom Watt and several others with all the signatures remaining fully legible despite some fading from age though it is worth mentioning that bunching makes some easier to make out than others.
