A veteran of exactly five hundred (500) National Hockey League games with each one occurring in the uniform of the New York Rangers, Edgar Laprade, an Allen Cup champion in 1939 and a Calder Cup champion in 1946, would play in three (3) NHL All-Star Games during his career, was ranked No. 24 all-time out of the 901 New York Rangers who had played during the team's first 82 seasons and be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993. Registering a total of 14 points in 60 games played during his final NHL season of 1954-55, offered here is this wristwatch presented to Laprade for being "The Most Popular Ranger" by the Rangers Fan Club. A windup offering made by Wittnauer that features a gold coloured casing and gold coloured hands and accents, the watch is found to be in a non-functional state and still includes the original brown leather band. Engraved on the with "To Edgar Laprade - The Most Popular Ranger - 1954-55 - From The Rangers Fan Club" the watch still remains in excellent condition overall with just some light scratches and scuffs to the crystal and case while the leather band has hardened over time and is due for replacing.
