“The Dream Team” as it was affectionately known from the very beginning remains the greatest basketball team ever assembled. Representing the United States at the 1992 Olympic Games the squad would breeze to the gold medal and as a group be nominated into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. Also marking the first time that players from the National Basketball Association (NBA) has been allowed to compete at the Olympic Games, offered here is this set of Team USA 1992 "Dream Team" limited-edition silver coins. Consisting of twelve (12) total coins that are each one (1) troy ounce of .999 silver, all twelve (12) players on the historic roster are represented in the set including; Patrick Ewing, Christian Laettner, Magic Johnson, David Robinson, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Chris Mullin, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton and Clyde Drexler. With each coin displaying a headshot image of the featured player as well as their name over the obverse face, the reverse features the USA Basketball logo, "One Troy Ounce" plus ".999 Fine Silver" designations and the limited edition serial number of "9163". With only 1000 sets made in total, all the coins are housed in slots cut into plastic displays with USA Basketball logos at the top as well as "1992 USA Basketball Team" while under each coin is the players name and uniform number. Produced by Enviromint and accompanied by certificates, both sets remain in excellent condition with some very light wear observed over the displays and toning to the coins themselves that is worth mentioning for accuracy.
