The O-Pee-Chee company’s first ever hockey card release is featured here, with all 48 of the 48 cards required to make a complete assembly included here and featuring a myriad of star and first-year carboard offerings of some of hockey’s greatest names. Paced by a group of eight (8) freshly graded offerings recently received back from PSA headquarters, the group includes the likes of Eddie Shore (RC - PSA PR 1.5), Howie Morenz (PSA "AUTHENTIC" - Altered), George Hainsworth (RC - PSA GOOD 2), King Clancy (PSA "AUTHENTIC" - Altered), Busher "Harvey" Jackson (RC - PSA FR 1.5), Charlie Conacher (RC - PSA GOOD 2 - "MK" Qualifier), Ching Johnson (RC - PSA GOOD 2) and Nels Stewart (RC - PSA GOOD 2). For the rest of the cards, all found in raw ungraded form, those found in the grade range of GOOD include; 4-Doraty RC, 5-Hitchman, 7-Galbraith RC, 10-Horner RC, 12-Primeau RC, 17-Somers RC, 28-Bourgeault RC, 35-Cotton RC, 40-Emms RC, 41-McInenly RC and 42-Sorrel RC while 21-Larochelle RC, 22-Mantha RC, 27-Weiland RC, 29-Himes RC, 30-Sheppard RC and 44-McVeigh RC are seen in scope of FR to GOOD for their efforts. Continuing on, 1-Cox RC, 11-Levinksky RC, 13-Bailey RC, 43-Phillips RC, 46-Leduc RC, 47-Wasnie RC and 48-Mondou RC are all around the neighbourhood of PR to FR while 2-Lamb RC, 8-Clapper RC, 9-Oliver RC, 14-Patterson RC, 16-Heller RC, 19-Gagnon RC, 20-Lepine RC, 24-Howe RC, 25-Finnegan, 26-Touhey RC, 36-Keeling RC, 37-Murdoch RC, 38-Cook RC and 45-Worters RC all fall into the grade range of PR. Closed out by "AUTHENTIC" offerings of 18-Chabot RC (x2) and 32-Day, also included in the same grade range is a copy of Ebbie Goodfellow from the Series "B" release. A fabulous grouping from one of the most important hockey card sets ever released, accompanying it is the "Hockey Star Picture Album" that was released by O-Pee-Chee to house both the Series "A" and "B" releases that is in overall PR condition with numerous rips, tears and creases while also showing stains and the expected toning. Of note, the interior pages have also separated from the spine and show wear much the same as the cover plus some glued in newspaper clippings, creasing and small tears to the corners where the cards were placed.
