A veteran of five (5) SM-liiga seasons in which he played in 212 games and registered 123 points, Waltteri Merela would come over the North America beginning with the 2023-24 season after signing a one-year contract with the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. Having skated with both Tampa Bay and their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, offered here is this Team Finland jersey worn by Merela during the 2022-23 Euro Hockey Tour. Made by Warrior, brand labeling along with a size "XXL" fly tag is affixed to the inner collar while Warrior logos have been sublimated into the material of the front and reverse necklines. Decorated over the front of the faux tie-neck garment with a Team Finland crest that features embroidered details throughout its entirety, various sponsorship logos have been sublimated into the material of the jersey at the shoulders, collar bones, lower front, down the sleeves and lower plus upper reverses, a Finnish Ice Hockey Association tag has been sewn over the lower left side on the front. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Merela's number "19" in single layer white tackle twill numerals, a nameplate with "Merela" spelt out across it in heat-pressed on white twill letters is affixed to the top of the reverse. Featuring a fight strap on the interior as well as a team tag denoting the piece as a "Official Game Worn Jersey of Team Finland 2022-23", the jersey shows game-wear via board burns over both sleeves as well as blue coloured board paint transfers over the left forearm. Also showing an additional board burn over the right side of the reverse as well as a few loose threads, a Finnish Ice Hockey Association COA will accompany the piece.
