A fabulous opportunity to score some captivating 1968-69 Topps cards presents itself here via this complete assembly of the post-expansion release that features all 132 cards that make up the star studded checklist. Paced by a group of eight (8) SGC graded offerings, the group is led in terms of importance to the set by examples of Bobby Orr (EX 5) and Bobby Hull (NM 7), #29 Gordie Howe (NM+ 7.5) and Bernie Parent's key rookie card (NM-MT+ 8.5) while also including slabbed specimens of Ken Hodge (EX-MN+ 6.5), Terry Sawchuk (EX-NM 6) and Jean Beliveau (EX-NM 6). With all the holders in excellent condition and showing just light signs of handling wear through a few odd small scratches and scuffs, also included are additional graded cards of both Orr and Esposito which have been given marks of VG 3 and EX 5 respectively. For the rest of the set's cards, found existing in their original raw ungraded form, the group is seen as being in the overall uniform condition range of EX to EX-MT for their efforts with some being affected by centering issues that are worth noting for accuracy. For the key cards, those found in the top end condition range of EX to EX-MT include the likes of 1-Cheevers (off-center - tiny ding at top border), 20-Mikita (off-center - tiny bump in forehead area), 31-Mahovlich (light red print mark on the reverse in the #31), 62-Cournoyer (tiny top left corner ding), 64-H. Richard (off-center - bit of top border wear), 111-Hall (slight wax on border), 121-Checklist (unmarked) and 123-Horton white VG-EX to EX cards include those of 6-Sanderson (slight factory surface wrinkle and dent) and 63-Lemaire (small wrinkle on the white of the bottom border). Rounded out by VG to VG-EX neighborhood cards of 56-Worsley (tiny dings to 3 of the 4 corners) and 67-Giacomin (back slightly faded - corner ding at bottom right), the set presents a wonderful trip down memory lane and features the remaining star cards in a condition that is consistent with the rest of the group.
