A member of the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame, with his 28 Olympic games-played a record among Russian national team players, Darius Kasparaitis enjoyed an especially lengthy NHL career, with numerous seasons spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders while also enjoying stints with the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers as well. A three-time Olympic medalist and a veteran of 863 National Hockey League games who finally got the chance to skate for his birth country Lithuania in international competition at the age of 45 in 2017, offered here is this Team Lithuania jersey worn by Kasparaitis at the 2017 Crowns Baltic Challenge Cup. Made by Tackla, a brand label with an attached size "L" fly tag is affixed to the inner collar along with an "IIHF Authentic Collection" label as well. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Team Lithuania crest that has been sublimated into the material, the distinguished captain's "C" has been added over the left breast while the sleeves and verso have been styled with Kasparaitis' number "11" in sublimated dual layer white-over-black numerals. Displaying "Kasparaitis" spelt out in sublimated white letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, it is also worth noting that the jersey does show evidence of a former nameplate having been applied. Displaying sublimated IIHF crests at the bottom of the collar on the front and over the reverse hem, the jersey exhibits just light game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and left sleeve while light board burns/fabric pulls and pills are found throughout as well. Regarding the photo-match the jersey has been matched with an image of Kasparaitis taken during a contest between Lithuania and Estonia that shows the particular stitching pattern of the captain's "C" over the left breast. Of note, the jersey does also show some liquid and general dirt stains over the front and reverse that are worth noting for accuracy. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA signed by Kasparaitis will accompany the piece.
