A member of the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame, with his 28 Olympic games-played a record among Russian national team players, Darius Kasparaitis enjoyed an especially lengthy NHL career, with numerous seasons spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders while also enjoying stints with the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers as well. A three-time Olympic medalist and a veteran of 863 National Hockey League game, 405 of which were spent in the black and yellow jersey of the Penguins, offered here is this Pittsburgh Penguins "50th Anniversary" jersey worn by Kasparaitis during a pre-game ceremony on February 3rd, 2017 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. A Reebok made offering with brand and size "XL" labeling affixed to the inner collar and lower front, a Reebok logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline while an NHL shield crest graces the front at the bottom of the collar. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a special 50th anniversary Penguins team crest that includes multiple layers of tackle twill and embroidered details, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Kasparaitis' number "11" in dual layer tackle twill numerals while "Kasparaitis" is spelt out in single layer yellow tackle twill numerals across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Remaining in excellent condition overall and hailing directly from his personal collection, an LOA signed by Kasparaitis will accompany the piece.
