An intimate 50-card set picturing only players and staff of the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs, the 1959-60 Parkhurst set was released for the last season of Montreal’s still unmatched run of five-straight Stanley Cups. Found here in near-complete set form with forty-eight (48) of the fifty (50) cards making up the checklist present and accounted for, the group is found to be in the fairly uniform condition range of G to VG and VG to VG-EX. For the key cards, condition leaders include a VG-EX to EX example of card #6 of Jean Beliveau (light corner wear) while VG to VG-EX cards include the likes of 2-M. Richard (light corner wear and dings), 32-Bower (light corner wear) and 50-Clancy (light corner wear. Also including cards of 8-Harvey (small crease at left border), 15-Imlach (small crease at bottom right), 23-Horton (closed pinhole in bottom area), 24-Mahovlich (light creases at left border) and 39-H. Richard (very small creases at left border), the notable offerings are rounded out by a GOOD condition copy of card #41 picturing Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jacques Plante over the front, which shows a crease on the reverse, and a FR to G range copy of card #33 that features the image of Boom Boom Geoffrion, which shows a large crease at the bottom left. Missing cards 1-Canadiens on Guard and 46-Officials Intervene for completion, the breakdown for the rest of the assembly condition wise sees four (4) cards in the vicinity of VG-EX to EX, fourteen (14) cards in the scope of VG-EX, fourteen (14) cards in the neighbourhood of G to VG, four (4) cards in the proximity of GOOD and lastly, a lone card seen as being in FR to G condition.
