Hailing from a season in which the Montreal Canadiens would win their fourth of five straight Stanley Cup championships from 1956-60, up for grabs here is this complete assembly of Parkhurst’s 1958-59 release totalling 50-cards and featuring classic Original Six star power from both of the NHL’s Canadian franchises. Found to be a collection of mostly FR to G and GOOD condition range offerings, the group is paced by condition leaders of key cards such as 39-Jacques Plante - "Action Around the Net" (light crease and corner wear), 42-Horton (scratch at top border area) and 46-Bower (light back damage - scratches at top right corner), all of which are in the neighbourhood of GOOD for their efforts, also included are FR to G condition examples of 2-H. Richard (small crease - rounded corners), 21-Plante - "All Eyes on Puck" (crease and corner wear), 22-Plante (crease and corner wear), 26-Plante - "Plante Catches a Shot" (crease and corner wear), 33-Mahovlich (creases), 34-Beliveau (creases) and 38-M. Richard (creases) while the keys are finished off by PR to FR examples of 1-Pulford (faded and creases) plus 11-Plante - "An Object of Interest" (large crease). For the rest of the set, the breakdown of conditions is as follows; two (2) cards in the scope of VG-EX shape, nine (9) cards around G to VG, twenty-one (21) cards in the neighbourhood of GOOD and finally, six (6) cards in the realm of FR to G.
