The 1st overall pick of the 1968 NHL Amateur Draft by the Montreal Canadiens after playing his junior hockey as a member of the Drummondville Rangers in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Michel Plasse would go on to play a total of 299 games in the National Hockey League, donning the colours of the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Kansas City Scouts, Pittsburgh Penguins, Colorado Rockies and Quebec Nordiques over that time. Spending the better part of four (4) seasons with Colorado between 1976 and 1980, offered here is this collection of four (4) Rockies team awards won by Plasse for his contributions during the 1976-77 season when he posted a record of 12-29-10 in 54 games played. Including the team's "MVP", "Most Popular Player", "Player of the Year" and "Pride of the Rockies" awards, both the "MVP" and "Pride of the Rockies" pieces see a Rockies logo puck affixed to a shield shaped wooden base that measures roughly 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" at its longest points while gold coloured metal plaques listing award, player, year and league particulars is added along the bottom. With both remaining in good condition, with some light wear observed to the pucks, base and plaques, both pieces have stickers from the American Pennant Manufacturing Company added to the reverses. Also including trophies naming him as the "Rockies Most Popular Player" and "Rockies Player of the Year", both are mostly made of wood with cups added to the top that are themselves topped by figurines of hockey players. Measuring roughly 16 1/2" and 19 1/2" tall respectively with both having had either gold or silver coloured plaques listing particulars placed over their fronts, matching the colour of the other metal details on each piece, both are in good condition with light wear to the corners and edges observed from age, handling and display as well as some scuffs and scratches to the metal components as well. Both sporting labels from Aurora Trophies affixed to the bottom of their bases, it is worth noting that the top of the "Rockies Most Popular Player" trophy is loose from the base with both the metal cup and player topper able to rotate freely while the "Rockies Player of the Year" trophy is loose from the base and able to rotate as well.
