This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/1/2024
After a season without hockey cards, kids and others must have been excited/smiling when they first saw Parkhurst packs in stores in 1957, with the Canadiens and Maple Leafs featured and Maurice Richard appearing on wax pack display boxes. Offered here in complete set from with all fifty (50) cards that make up the checklist present and accounted for, offered here is this complete assembly of Parkhurst's 1957-58 hockey release. Found to be in an overall low-grade condition state mostly consisting of cards in the range of GOOD for their efforts, it is worth mentioning that most of the key cards are in around the vicinity of FR to G for their efforts, including players from the famed bleu, blanc et rouge of the Montreal Canadiens such as 1-Harvey (crease and corners), 2-Geoffrion (crease and corners), 5-M. Richard (crease and corners) and 15-Plante (crease and corners) while those of 3-Beliveau (multiple large creases) and 4-H. Richard RC (multiple large creases) are closer to FR instead. For the part of the set dedicated to the Toronto Maple Leafs, the story is much the same throughout. Including FR to G range specimens of 2-Chadwick RC (corners and multiple large creases), 4-Pulford (crease and corners), 17-Mahovlich RC (crease and corners) and 20-Baun RC (crease and corners), the examples of 1-Armstrong (large creases) and 22-Horton (large crease down the middle) are closer to FR. For the remaining cards in the set, twenty-five (25) present around GOOD, six (6) are in the range of FR to G and lastly, seven (7) are around the neighbourhood of PR to FR. Overall, a pleasing trip down memory lane awaits our lucky winning bidder.
