Enjoying a lengthy career that witnessed over 1,200 regular-season games spread amongst just three clubs while also representing Canada internationally, Rob Blake was an eight-time All-Star during his illustrious career, with the James Norris earned in 1998. With the Simcoe native also having won a pair of Stanley Cup championships, including one as an executive with the Los Angeles, offered here is this Colorado Avalanche jersey worn by Blake, a 2017 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, during the 2001-02 season. Made by CCM and displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "58" labels affixed to each other on the inner collar, a CCM logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline and the NHL shield emblem has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the garment with an Avalanche team crest that features embroidered details throughout, matching alternate logo patches have been sewn down over both shoulders as well. Styled atop the sleeves and verso with Blake's number "4" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Blake" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed arching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Displaying its fight strap on the interior, the jersey exhibits game-wear in the form of stick marks over the lower front and right sleeve while board burns are spotted over both sleeves as well. Showcasing an Avalanche team tag on the interior that denotes the jersey as an "Official Issue 01/02 Set-II-2" specimen", the jersey is accompanied by an Avalanche LOA listing the particulars of the jersey that has also had a MeiGray COR hologram affixed to it as well.
