A product of the WHL's Calgary Hitmen who would be drafted 4th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Andrew Ladd would win a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2005 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships as well as Stanley Cup's in 2006 with the Hurricanes and in 2010 with the Chicago Blackhawks. A veteran of 1001 National Hockey League games, offered here is this New York Islanders jersey worn by Ladd during the 2017-18 season. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both "Made in Canada" and size "56" designations is affixed to the inner collar while the crests of both the NHL and Adidas are placed over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a familiar Islanders crest that features embroidered details throughout, the distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been added over the left breast and the NHL's Centennial patch has been sewn over the right sleeve. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Ladd's number "16" in dual layer blue-over-orange tackle twill numerals, "Ladd" has been spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Having had an Islanders team tag sewn inside the reverse hem that is serial numbered "2560", the jersey shows light-to-moderate game-wear in the form of stick marks over the lower front, right arm and under the left armpit while board burns are present over both sleeves as well. Also showing some coloured paint transfer marks over the right sleeve and reverse hem, an Islanders COA displaying the same serial number as on the team tag will accompany the piece while the fight strap on the interior has been marked with a "1" in black marker ink to denote it as a first set specimen. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #863224340 (October 19th, 2017 vs New York) to the white board paint transfer mark over Ladd's left hip.
