Featuring a checklist of 242 total cards and chalked full of players that were suiting up for the two Canadian based Major League Baseball franchises in the form of the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos, the 1978 O-Pee-Chee baseball set, due to a later printing date than its Topps counterpart, had many of the cards feature an extra line on the front of the card when a player changed teams, with some players featured on a different team that what is seen in the Topps release found south of the border. Offered here, we present this complete assembly of O-Pee-Chee's 1978 baseball release. Found to be in the overall mid-to-high-grade condition range of EX to EX-MT throughout and generally showing light corner wear, the key cards are paced by a EX-MT example of card #154, the rookie offering of Eddie Murray while cards seen as being in the vicinity of EX to EX-MT include 29-Yount (light corner wear), 50-Bench (light corner wear), 78-Winfield (70-30 centering and light corner wear), 100-Rose (80-20 centering), 105-Ryan (light corner wear), 110-Jackson (light corner wear), 120-Seaver (light corner wear), 135-Carter (light corner wear), 180-Dawson (light corner wear and 90-10 centring), 225-Schmidt (light corner wear) and 230-Carew (slight wear to top two points). Additionally, the key cards are rounded out by a VG-EX to EX copy of 241-Ryan RB (corner wear) and a VG to VG-EX example of 215-Brett (completely off-center and corner wear). With the two checklist cards both found in their original unmarked state and the other start cards found within the set in a condition that is consistent with the cards listed above, don't let this assembly of diamond kings pass you and your all-important collection by!
