Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction April 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2024
A second-round draft choice of the Boston Bruins in 1997, Ben Clymer spent parts of seven seasons in the NHL, with the bulk of that time in Washington and played one season with the Hershey Bears in 2007-08. The CCM size tag indicates it is a size "56" on the inner collar and the back of the collar has a "Reebok" patch. The left breast bears a “70th” anniversary patch and an alternate captain's "A". There is a MeiGray patch on the inside hem, and the accompanying MeiGray LOA states that “this white jersey, registered into The MeiGrade System, was worn by Ben Clymer during the first half of the 2007-2008 American Hockey League regular season”. The “white jersey” in the LOA statement is an error. Both sleeves exhibit a dozen or more game marks, including seven unrepaired cuts on the lower right sleeve and three on the lower left sleeve. The back hem has one large and one small unrepaired cut, and above the front inside hem is some pilling. The fight strap shows signs of washing.
